The group studies Spanish that enables a traveller to understand and speak for daily needs. For reference, we use the BBC's "Spanish" phrase book and dictionary, at £3.99. In the winter months, cassettes etc. are used.

Each member prepares a short account in Spanish, using the latest acquired knowledge, which is read and corrected verbally.

The leader is the only one fluent in Spanish. Other members are now able to attempt constructions using different tenses and a larger vocabulary. It would be difficult for a complete beginner to join, but enquiries are welcome, and the format and membership is not cast in stone!

We reckon to have a good laugh often, and 4 to 6 are currently attending.
