From small beginnings, the Gardening Group, with over 150 members, has grown to be one of the largest groups in U3A in Bath. Throughout the winter we hold a series of monthly lectures and in the summer we organize coach trips to various gardens of interest.

For our winter lectures we aim to book lecturers who will speak on a variety of subjects ranging from practical gardening and garden design to slide presentations of nationally and internationally known 'great gardens'. Doors open at 10.00 a.m. for coffee/tea and biscuits and the lectures start at 10.30 a.m. Entry costs £1 for gardening group members and £2 for other members of U3A in Bath.

During the summer we pay monthly visits by coach to gardens of interest within reasonable travelling distance of Bath, occasionally venturing further afield.

Our lectures and coach trips are open to non-Gardening Group U3A members, but those who register as members of the group will get prior information of our programmes and priority booking.
