FACT AND FICTION
2.00pm - Last Thursday of the month

Members take it in turns to choose the books to be read – novels (classical or modern) alternating with a non-fiction book (biography, auto-biography, travel) etc.

Meetings start with a brief general chat, after which the member who chose the book gives a full introduction to it, followed by a discussion in which everyone takes part. This is usually lively and wide-ranging. It is then time to put the kettle on and the leader draws final comments to a conclusion. Over tea and biscuits we make sure that we have suggestions for the months ahead.

The meeting finishes with a few short poems brought along and read by members.

One or perhaps two more members could be accommodated.
