The Book Club meets at each of the members' houses in turn.

Each member chooses a book for discussion, one which may be recently published or a classic we would like to revisit.  In 2011, choices have included 'The Memory of Loss' by Aminatta Forna, 'Parrot and Olivier in America' by Peter Carey and 'The Moonstone' by Wilkie Collins.

The member who has chosen the book opens the discussion which centres on the writer's aims and achievements and sometimes moves on to issues arising from the book's subject matter.

We are full with twelve members but occasionally vacancies arise.
