Welcome to the University of the Third Age in Bath,
a lively and friendly association offering a
wide range of study and leisure activities for those whose days are no longer
tied to earning a living.
It is a good way to meet people and to make new
friends. Costs are minimal because our activities are organised
by our members, who share their skills and expertise.
There are nearly a hundred different
study, creative or leisure interest groups meeting regularly. Each month
a guest speaker gives a lecture of general interest at the Pavilion and
there is also a monthly coffee morning. In addition,
outings are arranged to places of interest.
Use the menu to explore in detail what we have to offer. As a member you receive
a monthly newsletter and diary keeping you informed of what is going on. These
are sent by post or email, whichever is requested.
If you are not already a member, we hope you will join us. The coffee morning
is a good opportunity to come and meet us, without obligation, before joining.
You can discuss your interests with group leaders and members, and enjoy a
social morning with coffee and biscuits available at a modest price. The coffee morning takes place
from 10.30am to 12 noon on the third Thursday of every month except August and December.
It is held at the Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution in
Queen Square, which has wheelchair access.
